Diving School

All of us went to our pool Friday night to swim and meet up with Kaitlyn's friend, Raegan, and her family. Lauren decided to go off the diving board and proceeded to dive and do a flip, which I missed. A boy watching told Bill that she should go to the open diving practice Saturday morning. Lauren was all excited, so Bill took her. Lauren spent 1 1/2 hours learning how to walk and jump on the board. She also did many jumps and a few dives. For some reason her dives are really jumps with her hands over her head. She can do wonderful dives off the side of the pool, just not off the board. Lauren did have a great time, so we may be signing her up for a private lesson and then she is going to go Saturday morning again. There are only 2 meets left, so she will just have to wait until next summer to join the diving team, if she wants. We will just have to see if our fearless girl has a little more fear then.
