Kaitlyn and Lauren's school recently had a family portrait fundraiser for the school. So we went to have another family portrait taken. Now these weren't from the professional, but these were ones we took afterwards.
Kaitlyn is starting the process to get braces and an expander o
n Thursday. She will then have everything in place on Thursday, December 2nd. She isn't too excited because she saw the sheet showing all of the things she won't be able to eat. Kaitlyn is also loving the Jazz/Hip Hop dance class she has been taking. She is always doing her routine for us. She had previously asked to do gymnastics next, but now she wants to continue with the dance class.
L
auren has been doing great in school lately. She is so proud of herself since she has had to move her clip at all. She really has been growing up so much lately. Lauren now has homework to do everyday, and she really seems to enjoy it. Most likely because Kaitlyn is always doing hers, so she feels just like her big sister. Lauren still isn't too keen on soccer, but she at least is trying a little bit more than earlier in the season. Lauren still would like to go back to gymnastics next though.
Alexa also loves school and is so disappointed on the days when she doesn't have it. She does think that she is a lot older than she really is, so she always wants to help with everything, especially in the kitchen. This was the case 2 weeks ago when she ended up touching the hot stove top and burned her left index finger. It immediately blistered, but the problem arose when she popped the blister the next day when she fell outside. It was black underneath, which I initially thought was from dirt, but soon realized that it was from the burn. I ended up taking her to the doctor, who diagnosed a 2nd degree burn and prescribed some cream with an antibiotic. Within the week, the finger looked tons better and there is no more need for a band-aid. We just need to keep an eye on her at all times, but she is just so quick, as you can see by her face with purple make-up on it!
