Weekend Warriors

Friday night we took the kids to our tennis courts to see them hit the ball some. We were a little worried about Kaitlyn since she couldn't even touch the ball initially, but she quickly got back up to speed and was hitting the ball pretty well by the time we left. Lauren was off and on, but she was so proud whenever she hit a ball. Alexa loved chasing after all the balls, picking them up and then running to place them over the net. As for us, we did get to hit for about 5 minutes together, so hopefully we will keep getting more time as we keep going. Even though we have 20 courts, they were almost all full, so we are going to have to start calling to make sure there is availability though.

Saturday we headed to our friends, Wally and Shannon's, pool and then back to their house for dinner. The girls all seemed to have a great time, but it was a late night. Alexa went to bed around 8:30pm, so not too bad. Lauren was up until 11pm, while I am not sure about Kaitlyn since she spent the night. She did say that she didn't know how to turn the TV off and Abby was asleep, so she just kept watching it. The girl just doesn't know how to do anything else if the TV is on, so she must get this from her daddy since he was nicknamed TV Billy growing up!

Sunday, Alexa and Lauren slept in until 8:45am, but Kaitlyn was up around 7am. Surprise, surprise, she was a grump, but she ended up napping for 3 hours, so she was much happier. Bill took Alexa and Lauren over to see his mom, while I stayed home with Kaitlyn. We did have a great time after the nap since we did a little shopping and went out for dinner together. Now I just have to get Kaitlyn to want to try different places and food since she always wants the same things, but we did have some good pizza.

Monday, we just headed to the doctor and the grocery store. I am so ready to have school started again, just so I can go to the grocery store in peace with just Alexa! Kaitlyn is now over at her friends, Haley and Ashley's, house and pool for a play date. Meanwhile, Lauren was so excited to have her friend, Emma, over for her own play date. It is too funny to watch Lauren since she acts like Emma is a baby and leads her around. They both couldn't stop tickling and hugging each other once they saw each other.
